True Sandbox Exploration

The Secrets of Avagada is an Egyptian-inspired campaign for 5E and OSR. Your party is hired to map an uncharted island that has swallowed every expedition sent before them. What they find are the remains of an ancient civilisation and a powerful curse!

Your players will have to explore every corner of Avagada Island, in an open-world style quest, where every choice really matters.

The Island

The Sierra of Death splits the island in two. Lizardfolk, trolls, and giant scorpions hold the mountain. Your party has to cross it. For those brave enough to explore the island, this is what waits:

Spinish Port: The only way home, and it's a long way behind you.
The Ancient Mines: Where the sick were sealed inside... but they didn't stay sealed for long.
The Ruined City: A thousand citizens died of plague here. Not one of them is resting.
The Ancient Tower: A king who died waiting for a cure, still sitting on his throne.
Avagada's Temple: A ruin above ground, a nightmare below, and the birthplace of the Mummy.
The Great Pyramid: 23 sealed rooms. One pharaoh who was never meant to wake. He's waiting for you.

The Origin Characters

Five ready-to-play characters, built to drop straight into Avagada.

These five come from the hexcrawls we grew up on, the deadly sandbox games that made us build Avagada. They're statted for 5E and OSR and drop straight into the island. Each comes with a backstory if your players want one. Hand them out, gear up, and go in!

The uVTT Maps

Creating such a vast exploration and dungeon-crawling adventure obliged us to also provide the necessary maps to bring every location, encounter, and hidden corner of Avagada to life.

Once again, using RPG Stories VTT, we created everything with care and great attention to detail, so you can experience Avagada Island the way your table deserves!
